Wow!

Wow, it's been a while since I've been here......didn't realize it's been as long as it has. We've been crazy busy around here. Hubby and I are now Cub Scout Den leaders, which is really funny since we have no children living at home! But it's been keeping us busy. In June, our granddaughter Samantha gave birth to our great-grandson. An adorable little guy named Isaiah, who is just precious. He had some medical issues when he was born, and had to stay in hospital for about 4 weeks, but is now home and is happily growing stronger each day. Then at the end of June, my neice and her husband and 4 children, along with my Mom came to visit and were here with us for a week. While they were here, our daughter, who is in the Army and currently deployed in Iraq and was home for a mid-tour leave, came to visit with her husband, her youngest son and her soon to be daughter-in-law and her first (and only so far) grandchild. We had quite a house full for a while, but I loved it! The Monday after the 4th of July, we took my Mom home - she lives in New Mexico - and we took a little vacation. We went to Utah and Idaho to visit hubby's family members who live there. We had an absolutely marvelous time, and even looked at some homes that are listed for sale. We've had enough of baking in this south Texas heat and have decided to move to Utah, but it won't happen til after school's out as he's committed to another year of driving his school bus. But at least it gives me something to look forward to! lol

Let's see, what else...oh! On August 22 we will be picking up our grandson's fiancee and baby (the one's that were here in June) at the San Antonio Airport so she can stay with us until he comes home from the UAE. He's in the Army and is currently deployed in Quatar, and is due to be coming home in October, so he called and asked if she and the baby could stay with us for a couple of months, and of course we said absolutely! It'll be fun having a baby in the house again, even if it's just for a couple of months. Our grandson is excited, as he hasn't even seen his little girl yet. We're looking forward to it.

Ok, now the real reason for this blog once again.........I'm still learning all this stuff, but will get my templates up as soon as I can. I know I've asked before, but please have patience.......it'll come along soon I promise! Hope y'all had a great weekend! Hugs to all!!

Ok, what's that old phrase...you know Murphy's Law.....what can go wrong will go wrong, or something like that. lol Well, it has. Last Friday I took my dog to the groomer and when I went and picked her up and brought her home I noticed something was a little off with her. She went and got into her bed right away without trying to get the bows out of her hair. She was pretty listless that night, then on Saturday she was having a hard time standing and not walking very well. By Saturday night she couldn't use her back legs at all. We called the groomer and were told to bring her to their vet on Sunday morning which we did. That vet sent us to the emergency pet clinic, and we were told that she had a slipped disc in her back and that she needed surgery right away. We were told by the manager of the grooming place that if the injury happened while she was there, that they would absolutely take care of all medical bills. On Tuesday we took her to a veterinary specialist and had X-rays done, and he agrees, she needs surgery ASAP. He was going to send his findings to the place where we had her groomed, and we've not heard from them since. So here's my dog who can't walk, and the grooming place has decided to give the silent treatment. Don't get me wrong, I know they didn't hurt her intentionally, I'm sure it was an accident, but it happened none the less. I just want my happy playful little dog back. She tries so hard but just doesn't understans why she can't run and play like she could. Ok, no more ranting. I'll be working on this some more in the coming days. Thanks for stopping by!

Almost Back In Business

I really haven't forgotten about this, it's just been one heck of a few days here of late. Like I said, my computer decided to go on the fritz, and it has to be reformatted. Well, instead of just doing that and hoping for the best, hubby and I decided to just get a new one just to be on the safe side. So, here I am now trying to get as much off the old computer and onto the new one as I can before I start to reformat. I've gotten my templates loaded into a folder in 4Shared, now all I have to do is figure out how to link to that here. I'll get this all figured out one of these days, I promise! lol Thanks for being patient with me ya'll! I hope you all had a very Happy Easter!!

What A Week

Just when I'm about to try and get this off the ground, my computer stabs me in the back!! Yesterday I go turn on my computer and lo and behold it's not connecting to the internet! Hubby's is, but mine isn't. It was working just fine Monday night, so somewhere between the time I logged off and woke up yesterday morning some gremlins took a hold of my pc and messed with it. lol So, for now I'm using my laptop, and it is not really user (that would be me) friendly! hahahaha Other than that everything's going well, I've made some more templates and hope to have them all up very soon. Enjoy your day!!!!
